1. Properties

Achromatic oil-state liquid.

Boiling Point: 176°C.

Crystal when frozen. Freexing Point higher than 1°C.

Slightly resolvable in water 0.4%-0.6%. Resolvable in Propanediol. Mutually resolvable with Ethanol and Oil.

 

2. Extract Methol

Fractionated from some essence oil containing rich 1,8-Cineole (with fraction range 170-180°C). For example, Eucalyptus Globulus Oil, containing about 60% 1,8-Cineole, can be fractionated from and then be seperated from to get the 1,8-Cineole.
