2.It used for synthesis of ethylene-norbornene,also used as third monimer of ethlene-proylene rubber.

3.It used in medicine,pesticides,synthetic resin,spices,synthetic rubber and other fields.

4.It can be used to produce various grades pf petroleum resin.Cyclopentadiene or dicyclopentadiene and various monomer copolymers are all rubber,resin inks,coatings,ashesives and the raw materials for adhesive.

5.It can be used to prepare sulfonamides,such as sulfamethoxazole,sulfamethoxazole.
