Cedar oil, also known as cedarwood oil, is an essential oil derived from the foliage, and sometimes the wood and roots, of various types of conifers, most in the pine or cypress botanical families. It is natrual and no additive.

Cedarwood oil (Cupresus funebris) originates from China. It is extracted from the wood of the evergreen shrub by steam distillation. We also use the Virginian variety of cedarwood oil, which comes from Juniperus virginiana.
Cedarwood has a pleasant, woody scent that is used extensively in perfumery. Cedarwood oil is intensely smoky.
Aromatherapists believe that cedarwood has a sedative and balancing effect on the nervous system. It has been used in meditation to relax and harmonise the mind.
Cedarwood’s mild, balsamic and woody scent is reminiscent of pencil shavings. It is used extensively in perfumery.
