2.Physical properties

White crystalline powder; odorless; taste bitter. Slightly soluble in water, insoluble in chloroform, ethanol, soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide alkaline solution. The product of a saturated aqueous solution containing about 1.5% of inosine. mp218 ℃ (decomposition).
