Florfenicol is a synthetic , broad- spectrum antibiotic, which actively against many gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria isolated from domestic animals.  It can be used to control and prevent gasstrointestinal track eelworm in livestock and poultry and fly maggot, acarus, and other parasites outside body. 

 

Florfenicol's antibacterial activity is better than the chloramphenicol and Thiamphenicol's, especially to the 

bacterium which are resistant to the chloramphenicol and Thiamphenicol.
